I have been a fan for 34 years and love the collection. Some of the more notable things that have been fun to hear are the remixes from The great Daniel Lanois and Steve Lillywhite.
  • Worth it fot the Extra Material...But not the sound.

I'll keep this simple. To my ears and based on the labeling as "Super Deluxe" and not "Remastered", it sounds and looks just as it's labelled. Im' a huge fan of the band, a collector of all their music from when I was a teenager in the 80's and was hoping to hear a new and imporved mix. To my ears I can't hear any differnce from the original tape or CD I purchased back in the 80's. That said the bonus material is excellent which includes all the B-Sides and extras that were once very hard to collect in one place. The real draw for me was the addition of the live performance, which happens to be the actual show I saw on that tour my senior year in high school. My final verdict...If you already have all the material, save your money and keep enjoying it on whatever form you have. If not, all the extras are worth the few extra dollars.
  • Legendary Album!

Love the newly released live versions and other songs, but I did not purchase the full album partly because I already own the 11 studio tracks. That's why I gave this album 4 stars. Other than that I love the live versions! At least if you like live recordings and U2 is amazing live!

For the hardcore fans out there, the version of Bullet on this release isn't from the NY show it's from a Denver show they would do in November of '87. I wonder why they chose to include it instead of the performance from the NY show. Still awesome though.

I'm a metal-head, and I'll be the first to admit that The Joshua Tree is the greatest album ever made. Regardless of anyone's personal feelings towards Bono and the guys in U2, this album is comprised of some of the best songs ever written.
