Mr. Joe Cocker….one of the coolest singers ever,at a time when guitar heros were king, when motown with it’s talented pretty boy singers.her was a time for the raspy voiced dudes, and Joe Cocker was always cool.Everybody I know loved Joe and that says a lot about any singer that has a career as long as he did.You did good Joe R.I.P. Why would I buy a CD with only 1 song on it??? it only shows "many rivers to cross" as the only song on the cd. Might want to fix this.
  • The Mad Dog or The Englishman? Great either way!

The people of India, in the 19th century, used to say of the British mid day tea ceremonies - "Only mad dogs - and Englishmen - go out in the noon day sun". The most unlikely musical pairing in all of ROCKDOM must have been that of Leon Russell's classical styled piano playing and the blue collar gravel voice of Joe Cocker. It stands to reason then, that their duet stage name was Mad Dogs and Englishmen. This is a wonderful sample of that crafting. It may take two or three songs to "get it" but once "gotten" it'll never forgotten.

I ordered this for my son who is a long time Joe Cocker fan. It is a great rendition of the song.

She Came in Through the Bathroom Window is a sweet track, the Beatles version on Abbey Road is also great.

The 20th Century Master Collection is a must have album. Every one of the songs sound great and are true Joe Cocker. If you listen to your Ipod while working out, you are in for a real burn. Check out Cry Me a River!
