Great album, but it was re-released with better sound quality, this version had bad mastering. Don't get this version!!

This is my 3rd favorite Ben Folds/Ben Folds Five album. Just thought I would write that.. and Kylie From Connecticut is one of the most beautiful songs on this planet..

After listening to this album I couldn't help but be reminded of an old song of his called there's always somebody cooler than you. In this album Ben Folds think he's cooler than everybody and better than everybody, too. I love his stuff but in this one he comes across like a real jerk. For that it's not worth it. It's no fun to listen to. It just makes me angry. So that's what this one only gets two stars.
  • Ben Folds never disappoints

honestly, i am a HUGE ben folds fan (i have almost every album) but this album was forgettable at best. i guess all musicians go through their "pop" phases, so i'll give ben a break. the only good songs on here are "you don't know me", "cologne", and "kylie from connecticut". it amazes me that this album has garnered so many positive reviews, you people obviously haven't heard his older stuff...
  • Errant Ben Folds!

hands down, this is his weakest solo effort...only picked it up after reading all the positive reviews...that's what you get for not thinking for yourself... there isn't one memorable song on here that can go into the category of an instant-classic ben folds song; both "rockin the suburbs" and "songs for silverman" have that...heck, even "...goldfish" and the ep's have some... the only song i would listen to again on a semi-half-kinda sorta basis is "you don't know me" pretty disappointed with this album, actually...he has and can do so much better than this...
