  • Step up from previous...maybe

This album is a step up from Big Life...just barely. I think the dropping of the over used keyboards was a step in the right direction. It rocks a little more then Big Life...However, it still isn't anywhere near their best. It just seems as if the creative juices aren't there anymore. Some very good songs. Did It For Love, Don't Start Thinking, Reason to Believe are solid songs. Just think that their fan base has moved on.
  • MUST HAVE ALBUM

A great album and should had been a top 10 smaash. The record company released the wrong singles trying to get another Sister Christian. Man In Motion would had been a great lead single or Don't Start Thinking. They should have let the the band rock.

This record marked the first without keyboardist Alan Fitzgerald, and although Blades, Gillis and Keagy wrote the majority of the material, Fitz's absence is noticeable. It seems as if NR was trying to jump into the same boat as the Crue, Ratt, et al, and it just doesn't click. Overall, it's much heavier than "Big Life," but clearly, the "Midnight Madness"/"7 Wishes" glory days were over. The band broke up after this record, only to return in 1997 with the much better "Neverland." Best songs: "Halfway to the Sun," "Reason to Be," "Don't Start Thinking," "I Did it for Love" (very minor hit) and my favorite, "Here She Comes Again," which has a rocky Don Henley feel to it.
