Truly unbelievable! I’m a huge music fan but missed this one somehow back when I was a kid discovering rock and roll. Twenty Feet From Stardom got me digging around into old Joe Cocker stuff and this landed in my lap. Wow!

I first heard this album, played at all the family gatherings. And dancing always broke out. A great memory from childhood. Now lets discuss the music. One of THE great jam. live albums of all time. Some great session players with Leon and Joe!!! Truly Genius. And one of THE best FEELING albums of the 70s. great layers of rhythm and English blues. Horns and harmonies. Joe at his best. Get it, you will treasure it.

Anyone who is a fan of emotionally charged and passionate live performances should buy this album. You not only hear great music, but you feel it to. From the wonderful soul sounding version of Something, to the powerful version of The Weight, you will not be dissapointed. Leon Russell hammers the keys like no one else out there and Joe Cocker adds his gritty and impactful voice to songs you know and love. Get this album, you will not be dissapointed.

There are many reasons why whenever I hear a cut from this album I am transported to another time. The first time I heard/saw this music was in a quonset hut "west of here" in 1971. It was a couple of hours spent with people my own age in a place that was safe and fun. Much different than the immediate surroundings. To this day when I listen to the songs I can see the faces of my friends reacting the same way I was. Very few good memories of that time, this is a lasting favorite for me!
