$17 is a definite improvement over free

It has been a little over two years since the fateful morning when millions had auditory rape thrust upon them. In that time skin has thickened and the rawness of the indignity of finding U2 on a device normally reserved for music has subsided. At least that’s the hope. Apple for their part in the debacle has corrected the technological aspect and iTunes users must make several misclicks or taps and pay to be punished with banshee-like wailing and infantile lyrics; no longer are these “songs” inflicted on the innocent!
The album itself is perhaps the best that U2 has to offer. At worst Songs of Innocence is classic U2 but there are several points where the album becomes surprisingly listenable. The Edge displays glimpses of musical talent when playing the piano on several tracks. There can be no doubt that picking up the guitar is where things went wrong for this poor rich man and the listening public.
In closing Songs of Innocence is objectively a dreadful piece that should be avoided by those of good musical taste. Masochists and U2 fans will enjoy it for reasons as disparate as their fetishes.
I don't want it.
Why it does not go????
Lucifer's Hands & Crystal Ballroom!!!!!!!!!
By That One Guy!
How in the world did amazing songs like "Lucifer's Hands" and "Crystal Ballroom" get bumped out of the album track choice by mediocre songs like "Cedarwood Road", "This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now", and "Raised By Wolves"?????!!! If those 3 songs had been the bonus tracks, and "Lucifer's Hands", "Crystal Ballroom (the long version)", and "Invisible" had replaced them on the album, then it would have been a 5-star album… well, that, plus get rid of the horrible album cover - makes me want to vomit every time I see it. I don't care if it's supposed to represent a father holding on to the innocence of his child - If my dad hugged me that way, especially when I'm half naked, I'd be scarred for life :)
So many people said it was bad that it was forced onto our phones. Now I have the ability to get rid of it thanks to the update. But I decided not to since this is a classic band and the music is actually not that bad.
Another great album.

My all time favorite band hits it out of the park once again. With some of my favorite albums like "Achtung Baby", "How to Dismantle an Atom Bomb", and of course "Everything You Can't Leave Behind" this one joins them. Beautiful and very personal.

Why do you keep giving us free U2 sh*t? We don't want it!
Why are Y'all complainin
Ok one day I was on my Ipad downloading all the music that I had again then I noticed this. At first I was skeptical because it was free random music but I soon found out the music is amazing and actually has meaning unlike so many other artists and they aren't just like love blah blah blah. I thank U2 for being so generous with their music.
Delete from my purchase history immediately
I did not buy this and demand it be removed from my purchase history as I don't like this band and have never bought their music at all
U2 will always be great
Love it, U2 has always had great songs, huge fan
At first I hated this album and I thought it was a waste of my time. Yet a year later it has become one of my favorite albums and "sleep like a baby tonight" is constantly playing on my phone. All I can say is great music, keep it up!
